Breathlessness management in Palliative Care

Physio's have an important role to play in rehabilitation in Palliative Care, helping people to cope with rapid change and deteriorating health whilst maintaining function and the ability to do the things they love.

Breathlessness management is a big part of the respiratory physio's role and is an issue for 90 to 95% of all COPD patients. Physio's will teach patients how to cope, posistions of ease, sputum clearance, advise on oxygen and nebulizer therapy along with exercise prescription.
